Kingsbridge Estuary U3A

The recently formed Kingsbridge Estuary U3A aims to bring pleasure, learning and companionship to those living in Kingsbridge and Salcombe and the surrounding villages.

Members meet once a month at the Kingsbridge Methodist Church Hall, Fore Street, Kingsbridge on the 4th Friday (apart from August and December). Entrance for members and guests is just £1 and includes refreshments.

In addition, our 30+ activity groups cater for a wide variety of interests and provide a sociable environment, run by members, for members, with the costs being on an 'expenses only' basis.

These groups meet weekly, fortnightly or monthly: Antiques, Architecture, Book Club, Bridge, Cryptic Crosswords, Current Affairs, Digital Photography, DIY for Girls, Environmental visits, Euchre, French, Gardening, Geology, German, Greek Mythology, History of Art, Italian, Literature, Local History, Mah Jong, Musical Appreciation, Philosophy, Play-reading, Poetry, Singing for Pleasure, Spanish, Tai Chi,  Theatre Matinee Visits, Watercolours

We also have a 'Walk with Pub Lunch group' and, for those not wanting to walk, a 'Friday Lunch' group, both of which meet once a month.

Thus, the members of KE U3A are enjoying their 'third age': no longer in full-time employment and with time to exchange and share educational, creative and leisure activities not for qualifications, but for fun.
