Walkers Are Welcome
The Walkers Are Welcome accreditation for towns and villages across the United Kingdom recognizes those special places where the walking is second to none and the welcome as warm as it gets - and in June 2009 Kingsbridge was delighted to be the very first town in the whole of Devon to be awarded that accolade!
Walkers have long been visiting this little bit of heaven in southernmost Devon to discover for themselves just how much there is to offer here. Whether you are looking for wide open horizons or secluded leafy lanes; spectacular far-reaching views or hidden alleyways and byways, this area has it all - and more besides. Walk with the sound of surf crashing below you or birds wheeling above; explore our wealth of wildlife and flora; or discover a history as rich and diverse as life itself. We really do have something for everyone, whatever their age, their ability, or interests.

Nothing can improve upon the natural, environmental assets which we have but we hope through an ongoing programme of events, walks, leaflets and other opportunities to be able to help you enjoy the very best of them -today and for the future. And don't forget: the more you explore on foot, the less the carbon footprint you leave behind...
Why not call in and see us for all the information you will need - personal knowledge of the area, maps, booklets and trails plus ferry, tide and bus times and weekly car parking tickets for the South Hams.
